What is the First Step and What Should Parent Expect?

How big are the classes?

Class sizes can vary based on days and times. For our Little Tigers program, we strive to maintain a student to teacher ratio of 1:8 students, so that all classes are fun, safe, and productive. Multiple instructors assist in each class, enabling us to conduct drills with smaller groups, even during more popular class times.

What if my child has special needs?

We have successfully taught Taekwondo to a large range of students. We treat each situation on a case-by-case basis and would welcome the opportunity to meet your child and evaluate their readiness to enjoy our classes. Our instructors have years of experience at adjusting their communication styles and providing physical assistance so that more children can enjoy Taekwondo.

Is Taekwondo Hard to Learn?

At Woori Taekwondo we have designed our curriculum and class structure to provide the perfect amount of challenge for each level of student. Our Little Tigers classes are 30 minutes long and include a variety of short drills and step by step instruction. By giving students age-appropriate requirements, we keep them on task and excited.

Kids Taekwondo Classes

Since 2003, countless Woori families have chosen our children’s Taekwondo classes. The reasons for starting are as different as the children themselves. Whether you feel your child could use a confidence boost or more self-control we can help. If your child loves sports, Taekwondo will be a fun new challenge. However, if they need work on their balance and coordination, we provide that too. Our experienced staff take a personal interest in each child and adjust their teaching style to meet each student’s needs.

It’s a Fun introduction to Fitness

It’s a perfect way to develop healthy habits and a positive attitude towards physical activity.  And for children who are constantly in motion,  Taekwondo is a great outlet to burn off excess energy!

Learn The Importance of Respect and Self Control

Treating others with respect is one of the core principles of the martial arts. During training students learn to be courteous and kind to others. They also learn the importance of taking turns,  cooperating with a partner, and following instructions. This will prepare them for greater success at school and other team sports.
